I had my first virtual meeting with my ORT JUMP mentees last week. We discussed their objectives for the ORT JUMP Programme and I told them about my career journey.
For Year 12 students who are stuck at home and learning remotely once again, having the opportunity to speak with someone 1:1 to discuss their career options can really help to motivate them in their studies.
As a mentor, it's great to be able to help a young person realise their potential and focus positively on the future at such a disruptive time for all.
Unsurprisingly, demand is high for this fantastic programme, so I would urge anyone who has a few hours to spare to mentor a sixth-former, to get in touch with the ORT JUMP team.
